Intro: One for the Wife (Let's Make-up)

If you need to make some brownie points with the wife here's a nice project, it's a win win type thing. She get's a place for her make-up where she can find it, and you get some counter space back. Now that's a deal, but you better hurry and claim that counter space before who knows what she'll put there.

STEP 1: What You'll Need..

Not much, just some wood, I used an old recycled Venetian blinds I got at a thrift stop for a few bucks and the whole job only took a few slats, (plenty left for many more projects). You can also use 3 mm ply, or anything you have just know you may have to edit the slots to accommodate the difference. Some kind of measuring device in case her things are a different size. Modify the hole on the file if needed. Glue and something mount it to the hall, and your good to go.

STEP 2: Download the File and Cut

Download the file and cut 4 uprights, 2 hole pieces, 2 mounting pieces, and 1 solid long piece, if the files to long for your laser, or she does need that much space (like that's true) modify to make it work. You can do it...

STEP 3: Glue Up

This is part is easy, just take the four upright pieces an apply glue as shown, then slot together with the three long pieces the solid one goes on bottom (the rack is upside in the photo so the solid piece is at the top here).

STEP 4: Don't Forget

Don't forget that if you changed material thickness that the wall mounting piece will also need to be adjusted, glue in place.

STEP 5: Mount

Mount the rack to the wall by whatever mounting arrangement will work for your location, I just used screws. I hope you had fun and she loves it.

This is a good project, when I first saw the image on the "Recent" page I thought it was a collection of vape pipes. ☺
