Introduction: Orb Flyer Drone

I made an orb flyer drone project for school!

Supplies

Aluminum Can, Aluminum Tray, Drone Propellers, Rubber Bands, Wire, Scissors, Wire Cutters, Balsa Wood 1/8 of an Inch Thick, Super Glue, Small Screws, an Expansion Plug, and a Drill.

Step 1: Prepare the Can

First, cut a rectangular hole in the side of the can and drill a hole in the bottom. Then, cut the opening in the top of the can to be a bit bigger. (Mine already has step two done)

Step 2: Cut Aluminum

Then, cut the aluminum tray into four strips about 5.5 in x 1 in. Then put the strips on the sides of the can in a cross and super glue them in place.

Step 3: Wire and Rubber Bands

Cut some of the wire and drill a small hole in the top sides of the can. Put the wire that you cut through the holes and put the rubber bands on it! (max 6 rubber bands)

Step 4: More Wire Work and Propellers

Cut a T shape with a hook in the end out of wire (put the plug and wood on before the hook). Then cut three pieces of wood and put them together as shown in the picture (You will have to dig a small dip in the wood for the T shape to fit). Attach the propellers as shown.

Step 5: Parachute!

Put a parachute on the bottom as shown. Finally, hook the rubber bands on the hook, wind it up and let it fly!
