How to make wheatpaste at home—for your guerrilla street postering needs.

Step 1: Ingredients/Supplies

Poster/Printed Image

1 part flour

4 parts water

Measuring cup

Pot

Stove

Plastic Disposable Container

Stirring Stick/Utensil

Paint Brush

Step 2: Boil 3 Cups of Water

Boil 3 cups of water.

Step 3: Mix 1 Cup of Water With 1 Cup of Flower

Mix 1 cup of water with 1 cup of flower in a bowl until the mixture is fully blended together.

Step 4: Pour Mixture Into Boiling Water

Pour the mixture into the boiling water.

Step 5: Stir Until Smooth

Stir the mixture until it's smooth with a thick, creamy consistency.

Step 6: Transfer to Portable Container

Transfer the mixture into a portable container. For example, a mason jar.

Step 7: Wet the Surface

Find a wall or flat surface where you want your image to be seen. Then wet the surface area with a paintbrush.

Step 8: Place Art

Apply the image/poster over the wheatpasted area.

Step 9: Cover With Another Coat

Lastly, do a second coat of wheatpaste over the image/poster. Let it dry. And DONE!
