Picture this: you're at the prom, and you've been dancing for hours, and would love to grab a quick snack but don't want to stop dancing with the date of your dreams. Enter: the Oreo corsage. Visually striking, but also incredibly functional, this bouquet will definitely put a smile on your face, and some yummy chocolatey goodness in your tummy.

When the situation calls for celebration, Oreo cookies should definitely be invited to party!

Let's get started!

Step 1: Materials

For this project, you will need:

Oreo cookies (I used a total of 3, but you will need more for practicing to needle through it)

Flowers or roses of your choice (I used 1 pink rose)

Baby's breath

Flower adhesive or hot glue (the latter will make the foliage wilt sooner rather than later)

Felt (about a 6 inch square)

Ribbon or tulle

8 inch length of 1 inch thick elastic

pearl pins (straight pins with colorful heads)

Step 2: Prep Elastic Band

Using the 1 inch elastic piece, measure or approximate the wrist that will be wearing the corsage. Cut and hot glue the two ends together so that you now have a closed band.

Step 3: Prep Felt

Cut about a 5 inch circle/ oval which will serve as the base of the corsage. Using a hot glue gun, attach it to the elastic band.

Step 4: Pinning Oreos

Using the pearl pins, slowly push a pin throw the Oreo cookie, entering at an angle. This may take some practice, and is best done slowly so as not to crack the cookie. We will use these to attach the cookies to the felt without using any other adhesive, this way the Oreos will be 100% edible!

Step 5: Adding Oreos to Felt

Decide the configuration and number of Oreos you want on your corsage. I used 3 cookies and placed one atop and center of the other two. I pinned them down onto the felt circle.

Step 6: Prepping & Glueing Baby's Breath

Cut the stems of the Baby's Breath so that you minimize how much green is showing. Take a few strands and decide how you want to place them around the cookies. Once you're happy with the placement, you can either hot glue or use floral adhesive to stick it to the felt. Because we're going to be layering, you want to work backwards, gluing stems/flowers onto the stems of already glued-on flowers.

Step 7: Adding Flowers

I used only one pink rose so as to not detract from the Oreos. In hindsight, I think I should have gone with a couple smaller flowers, staggered around the cookies. After playing around with some different positions, I finally glued the rose down, even using a pearl pin to ensure it was strongly bonded.

Step 8: Adding Ribbon or Tulle

I took a 14 inch length of 6 inch wide tulle and tied a quick bow, fluffing out the ears. This can also be done with silky ribbon as well . Simply hot glue this to the felt anywhere you like.
