Introduction: Orientable Wood Led Lamp With Clamp
Ho usato avanzi di legno trovati in casa, il pezzo rotondo da un manico di scopa.
Purtroppo non ho misure precise, ma sono facilmente recuperabili dalle foto.
Oltre al legno che è visibile in foto, servono:
barra filettata 8 mm con dado e farfalla lunga circa 20 cm
colla epossidica
alimentatore 12 volt, 1 o 2 ampére
interruttore a filo oppure come da foto (interruttore da incasso e 2 mammuth)
connettore femmina corrispondente a quello maschio dell'alimentatore.
carta opalina/traslucida da fissare con biadesivo o colla davanti ai led.
opzionale un pezzo di gomma da camera d'aria per aumentare l'aderenza del morsetto.

I make this lamp for my grandchildren. i used some wood (like in the photo)and a piece of wood
broomstick. You also need:
threaded rod (8mm * 20 cm) with nut and "butterflay" nut
epoxy glue
power supply 12 volt, 1 or 2 amp
switch: you can buy a new one already done or like in photos you need a recessed switch and two " terminal blocks"
Female jack for the male jack from power supply
optional:
translucent paper in front of the led stripes.

Step 1: Make Recess for the Led Stripes
Ho scavato con lo scalpello l'interno del listello scavando anche una piccola traccia per i cavi che provengono dal perno-jack femmina.
Ho prima bucato (4-6 mm) e poi incollato il perno rotondo.
Make recess in the wood for the led stripes whith chisel. I make a little track for the wires from the broomstick.
Make a hole (4-6 mm) in the broomstick and after glue it.
Step 2: THE CLAMP 1/3
Ho incollato i due pezzi di legno come da foto e poi ho realizzato il foro grande per il perno della lampada e quello piccolo per la barra filettata.
Il foro per la lampada ho dovuto spessorarlo internamente perchè non era preciso (non avevo la punta giusta).

Step 3: THE CLAMP 2/3
Ho incollato a 90 gradi i due pezzi di legno e gli ho inserito due tasselli di rinforzo.
Ho forato come da foto per il passaggio della barra filettata e per incastrare il dado che sarà poi incollato con colla epossidica.
I glued to 90 degrees the two pieces of wood with some reinforcements strips.
I make a hole for the rod and after i make another hole for recess the nut.

Step 4: THE CLAMP 3/3
Ho incollato con colla epossidica bicomponente il dado e anche la barra filettata avvitata nel dado per bloccarla.
Ho tagliato "a lunghezza" la barra filettata.
Glue the nut in the wood with epoxy like in photo.

Step 5: INSERT FEMALE JACK IN THE HOLE
Si allarga il giusto il foro sul perno per inserire ed incollare la parte esterna del connettore femmina dove poi si potrà avvitare la parte interna.
In foto non c'è: saldare sul connettore femmina due i due fili che andranno, attraverso il perno, alle strisce led.
Enlarge the hole to put inside the outside part of the female jack. glue it. watch the photos.
weld the wires to the female jack (there isn't this in photos). the wires will go to the led stripes.
Step 6: SET THE LED
Incollare col suo biadesivo le strisce led. Nell'estremità finale saldare in parallelo i contatti (+ col + e - col -).
Saldare i due fili che arrivano dal jack con la giusta polarità.
Set the led stripes with double-sided tape. At the end of the lamp weld + with + and - with -.
Weld the wires from the jack with correct polarity
Step 7: THE WOOD BOX FOR THE SWITCH
L'ho realizzata come da foto, con compensato da 4 mm.
All'interno dovevano trovare posto i due mammuth e l'interruttore.
Si può anche acquistare in plastica già fatto, bianco o nero.

Step 8: Electrical Connections
Tagliare alla distanza scelta il filo dell'alimentatore (a 12 volt). Questa distanza è quella tra la lampada e l'interruttore. Insomma se si vuole l'interruttore più vicino o lontano dalla lampada.
Collegare l'interruttore. Un filo andrà diretto, l'altro avrà in mezzo l'interruttore.
Cut the power supply cable at about 20 cm from the jack. Make connections with the switch
Step 9: FINISH
Finito. So che manca qualcosa a questre instruzioni, ma le foto aiutano a capire.
