Introduction: Origami Cowboy Hat

About: Everyday a masterpiece.

I made a cowboy hat using Origami. Initially, I was inspired by a Youtube video, then I realized that the size was not big enough to fit a human being. So, I re-created the same hat with a bigger sheet of paper and realized a Cowboy Hat sufficient to fit on a human head.

Supplies

A large sheet of square paper. The stiffer it is, the better.

Step 1: Create a 5x5 Grid

Fold the square sheet of paper and create a 5 by 5 grid of squares on the sheet as shown. Then, fold all the lines in mountain fold (one-sided). Then, fold both the diagonals using Valley Fold.

Step 2: Realize Central Square Into Hat

Follow the Instructions in the video to create the central part of the hat.

Step 3: Fold the Edges

Fold the edges one set at the edges to make a 90-degrees fold and another set of edges to be straight to give the shape. I generally use this hat at parties and gatherings.
