Origami Heart With Tie!

This is a fairly simple origami heart. It can also be a cute gift to give to a teacher or parent. All you need is a double sided paper.

Step 1:

First start with your main color/design facing down.
Having your paper looking like a diamond fold in half both ways. Crease well and unfold.
Flip paper over.

Step 2:

Fold the top and bottom to meet in the center. Crease well.
Now fold the top to meet in the middle.
Crease well and unfold fully.

Step 3:

Fold down the top left to meet the line before the middle line as shown.
Then fold the top right to meet the same line. Crease and unfold.
This part is a little tricky, open a small piece of the folded down flap and fold down the right side to have a small mountain

Step 4:

Fold the small mountain to meet the middle.
Crease well and make a mountain fold and press down to make the shape of a tie.
Flip paper over.

Step 5:

Fold bottom triangle upward to meet middle line as shown.
Now fold up the middle line. Crease well.
Flip paper over.

Step 6:

Fold both bottom right and left to meet in the middle, crease well and unfold.
Fold up again but this time tuck under the "tie" as shown.
Flip paper over.

Step 7:

Fold down top paper just enough to tuck into the little slots as shown.
Make two small vertical fold on the edges to make this look more like a heart.
Flip paper over.
Lastly, fold over the middle to make somewhat of a collar.
You are now done, enjoy!
