Introduction: PAPER JENGA

Hi guys,
In this instructables I want to share one useful play thing to kids.

WHAT IS JENGA ;
Jenga is a game of physical and mental skill. Player take turns removing one block at a time,from a tower constructed of 54 blocks, Each block removed and then placed on top of the tower, creating a progressively taller and unstable structure.
The game ends when the tower falls or if any piece falls from the tower other than the piece being knocked out to move to the top. The winner is the last person to successfully remove and place a block.

Step 1: RULES

Blocks stack the initial tower which has eighteen levels of three blocks placed adjacent to one another along their longside and at right angles to the previous level (so for the example, if the blocks in the first level lie lengthwise North-South, the second level blocks will be East-West, and again blocks will be lie North-South and again viceversa.

PLAYERS : Min 2 and Max 6

TIME DELAY : 10 sec time delay after one player completed his/her play and another player's starting.

Step 2: WHAT IS NEW ON THIS?

Basically Jenga blocks are made by woods, in this blocks made out of papers.

Step 3: BLOCK - DESCRIPTION

Jenga played by using 54 blocks.
>Each block is there times longer then it's width.
>One fifth as thick as its length

Blocks have small and random variations from these dimensions, so as to create imperfections in the stacking process and provide additional challenges to the game.

Step 4: BLOCKS - DIE PREPARATION

Additional 1.5cm tolerance (+1.5cm) given to it's original dimension due to paper clay's shrunken on Sun light in die preparation.
Take 2mm thick plastic sheet and cut it 9*4*3 cm in L*B*H pattern.
And then stick these sides by using string glue and make an rectangular box.
We make blocks mould by using this rectangular box.

Step 5: WHITE FLOUR PREPARATION

MATERIALS REQUIRED;
1), maida (white flour)
2), water (required amount)
Here maida flour acts as a white flour and helps in making of paper clay as bonding substance.
First take 300 grams of maida flour in an wider heating Bowl and then add little water and mix well.
And then boil these mixing in medium flame and should be stirring, then it becomes a glue.

Step 6: PAPER CLAY PREPARATION

MATERIALS REQUIRED;
1), old notebook papers (3/4 kg)
2), white flour glue (already prepared)
3), water (if required )

PROCEDURE:
1, tear it off that notebook papers (don't cut) into small pieces.
2, soak this teared smaller notebook paper pieces in hot water about 3 hours.
3, after 3 hours squeeze it 50% of water from soaked paper pieces and grind it as soft by using mixer grinder.
4, then squeeze out remain 40% of water from the grinded paper.
5, Add white flour (already prepared) in that grinded paper.
6, blend these compositions very well and add water if required.
7, thus paper clay is prepared.

Step 7: BLOCKS - MOULD

Then fill up paper clay in that rectangular box and make 54 blocks mould.

Step 8: BLOCKS - LEAVE IT TO DRY

Then leave this mould in direct sunlight to 3 days and let to dry.

Step 9: BLOCKS - AFTER DRY

After 3 days the mould should be in irregular surfaces of blocks, we can finish it in sand peppers and became it in to Jenga blocks.

Step 10: BLOCKS - ROUGH SANDPAPER WORK

Use 80 grit size sand paper to roughly grind blocks, remove 1cm papers on each side, remain 0.5cm removed by finish sand paper.

Step 11: BLOCKS - FINISH SANDPAPER WORK

Use 150 grit size sand paper to finish block side and remove remain 0.5cm paper on each side. Finely finish up each sides on blocks.

Step 12: BLOCKS - FINISHED

Yet 54 blocks are ready to play Jenga, each side of the block should be perpendicular (90°) to other sides and each block is perpendicular to other blocks.

Step 13: GAME PLAN 1 : NORMAL JENGA

Now we can play normal Jenga have by using these blocks, construct tower using paper blocks followed by step:1 RULES and play,

Step 14: DICE - DESCRIPTION

Dice doesn't had special dimensions except it is to be square one.

Step 15: DICE - DIE PREPARATION

Same to do in blocks, take 2mm think plastic sheet and cut it in 3.5cm in L*B*H pattern.
And then stick these sides by using strong glue and made it square box.
We make dice moulds by using this square box.

Step 16: DICE - MOULD

As done in blocks mould, did the same, fill up paper clay in square box.

Step 17: DICE - LET'S TO DRY

Leave this mould in direct sunlight to 3 days and let to dry.

Step 18: DICE - AFTER DRY

After 3 days the mould should be in irregular surfaces of dice, we can finish it in sand papers and became it into dice.

Step 19: DICE - ROUGH SANDPAPER WORK

Use 80 grit size sand paper to roughly grind dice, remove 1cm papers on each side of the dice, remain 0.5 cm removed by finish sand paper.

Step 20: DICE -FINISH SANDPAPER WORK

Use 150 grit size sand paper to finish dice sides and remove remain 0.5cm papers on each side, finely finish up each sides on dice.

Step 21: DICE - FINISHED

Yet dice is ready to roll, each sides to dice should be in perpendicular (90°) to other sides.

Step 22: COLOURING - BLOCKS

Colour 6 seprate colours(as your wishes) in 9 each blocks. The paints that are users in are wood paints enough to colour the blocks, no need to special one.
Leave it to dry in 1 day.

Step 23: COLOURING - DICE

Colour that 6 separate colours in each sides of the dice.
And let it to dry 1 hour is enough .

Step 24: GAME PLAN 2 : COLOUR JENGA

Now we can play colour Jenga by using these coloured blocks and dice, construct tower by using colour paper blocks followed by step:1 RULES.
The rules are same like normal Jenga except dice roll.
Roll the dice when player turn and only remove that colour shown on dice.
And place the removed block top of the tower and continue.
Player have only one chance to roll the dice.
Player who is played when tower is fallen gets looser on the game.
Thus the colour Jenga is played .

Step 25: IT'S KIDS PLAYTIME & CREATIVE

Kids (3-10 years) love more colour Jenga and very often to play it. While play Jenga, kids brain, eyes, and hands are co-ordinately works at sane time, this initiative kids mind Power.
Blocks are not only used to play Jenga, that are used to some more creatives from kids shown in images.

In my area, there are more than 6 kids available. During 4 players playing Jenga, other kids make noise and fight with each other's, to solve this divide the 54 blocks in to each 27 blocks and handover it in 3 members at a team.

Step 26: MY IDEAS

I m also (29 years old) love colour Jenga blocks, and do many creative ideas using the blocks.
