Supplies

  1. ROCKETSHIP CUTOUT
  2. SCISSORS
  3. 1 SHEET OF BLACK CONSTRUCTION PAPER
  4. HOLE PUNCH
  5. STRING
  6. GLUE
  7. MOON CUT OUT
  8. STAR CUT OUT
  9. CRAYONS

Step 1: COLOR YOUR ROCKET SHIP

Start by finding the colors you would like to use and then color it in. You can use any colors that you want to color in your rocket cut-out! We used red, orange, blue, yellow, and grey. You can also color the moon as well or you can leave it like it is!

Step 2: CUT AND GLUE YOUR ROCKET TOGETHER

After you cut out each piece, use your glue to put the pieces together. It should look something like this when you are done!

Step 3: ADD YOUR STARS AND MOON

Place your rocket to the side and grab your black piece of paper, stars, and moon. Glue down the moon And stars where ever you would like!

Step 4: CUT AND GLUE YOUR STRING TO YOUR PAPER

Cut your string to about the size of your paper with some extra on the end. You are eventually going to tie it to your paper, so it is better to have extra rather than not enough. After you cut your sting you can either tape or glue it to the back of your rocket!

Step 5: HOLE PUNCH AND TIE

While your rocket and string are drying, grab your hole puncher and punch a hole at the top and bottom of your paper. They should be about in the center of the paper. Once your rocket is dry feed the string through the holes on your paper. Double knot the back of the string leaving A little bit of slack. Cut off any extra string.

Step 6: FINISHED

You can now grab a white crayon and add extra swirls or stars on if you'd like, totally optional. This should be your finished product. Pulling the string from the back will make the rocket move up and down the paper.
