Painting Hack - Paint Mixing Using a CUP IN a MAGNET CUP

If it can tip over and spill, it will happen to me. 

To help prevent spilling my paints, I came up with a way to hold the paint in place. 

I CALL IT A CUP IN A MAGNET CUP

1. The magnet cup - the magnet holds this cup to the metal pan
2. The paint cup (which is placed into the magnet cup) I can dip my brush into it for paint - I can keep changing out the paint cups as needed.

My style of painting uses enamel paints = for pin striping, lettering and general art.

Supplies

1x rare earth magnet per cup (I use the following)

• 1/4 inch diameter by 1/8 inch high
• 9/16 inch diameter by 1/8 inch high
• Broken magnet pieces also will work (great place to use broken, function or form)

2x cups per color 1 OR 2 OR 3 oz sizes (better to keep the same size and style cup per magnet)

• MAGNET CUP - 1 cup to hold the magnet and catch the second cup
• PAINT CUP - 1 cup that has your paint in it DROPS INTO MAGNET CUP

Metal pan - I use a small brownie oven pan 11 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inch deep or cookie sheets

Step 1: Magnet Cups - Metal Pan -Paint Cup

Place one magnet in the bottom of each MAGNET CUP (remember even broken rare earth magnets will work)

Stick it to the metal surface (I use dollar store cookie sheets and baking pans)

after filling the paint cup - place it into the magnet cup

the paint cup can be used until empty or you are done.

New paint cups now can be just placed into the magnet cup.
