Introduction: Painting With Duct Tape
Duct tape is used for various purposes. I thought of using it in my painting. Here I am using duct tape instead of glass or canvas for the painting. Hope you find it enjoyable.
Step 1: Materials Needed
- Duct tape - Different colors (Silver, Green, Golden)
- Cardboard boxes
- Scissors
- Paint - Acrylic or Glass
- Glue
- Colorful Crystal Beads or Stones
Step 2: Preparing Canvas
Cut the cardboard into desired size and shape. I made a Square and Oval shapes.
After cutting carboards, Use duct tape to cover it carefully without shrinks and gaps.
Now our canvas is ready to use.
Step 3: Outline
Draw your desired outline. I used floral pattern.
Use black outline with acrylic paint or lead lining for glass paint. Let it dry.
Apply glue on the center of the design and add some crystal beads.
Step 4: Fun of Coloring
Start coloring the pattern and add some crystal beads in the design.
I tried both paint types on duct tape, and the results are good. The drying time varies based on the paint and its thickness.Don't add water to the acrylic paint.
Beautiful design is done. Let it dry overnight.
Step 5: Colorful Wall Art /Painting
After finished coloring, use green or duct tape pattern to cover the sides. Make a triangle pattern from duct tape and attach it to the design. Use it for wall hanging.
Since its weightless, you can attach it to the wall easily. You can try different designs.
Colorful Duct tape Wall Art is easy to make and ready within a day.
