About: Hi everyone! When I met this website I didn't doubt to register to start sharing, commenting, learning and participating. I hope you like my publications! You guys are great!

Five years ago my uncle found a broken windsurf board on the beach. He told me to paint it as I wanted. It was long time ago, so I don't have all the pictures of the process, but I want to give you some tips on how to paint a surface like this, which is going to be exposed to the sun, air and rain for a long time.

Supplies

  • Exterior paint
  • Sandpaper
  • Rags
  • Newspapers
  • Brushes

Step 1: The Paint

I went to a paint store to ask about what I needed, I think that's the best way if you don't know about paint. I asked about an exterior paint that could be applied to a plastic surface like the windsurfing board.

Step 2: Sand

I sanded the surfboard a bit to remove dirt and leave a good surface to paint it. Then I passed a damp rag to remove the dust and I let it dry.

Step 3: Background

I painted the background white. First one layer then another. Let dry between layers.

Step 4: Outline

I wanted to paint something reminiscent of the sea with waves, circles and no straight lines. So I drew with the pencil some waves letting me carry a little.

Step 5: Paint

I did not use any varnish, since this paint does not spoil.
