Materials:
- Objetct to pain on
- masking tape
- 1 or 2 paint colors.
Step 1:
First clean it up, you can use w/e you like, i used a wet baby wipe, which was what i had in hand.
Afterwards do the framing with masking tape, this will serve to have somwhere to put guide marks with your pencil, making it easier to do the squares afterward, and this marks well, i tried to do the normal squaring on the laptop, but you can do any kind of checkerboard you may want

Step 2:
Using your guide maske it all up
i started as you can see on the vertical, from up to down, you can choose by yourself how to start.
then grab your paint can, shake it, and paint it, remember if you use spray to stand up your object, that way the can won't clog with paint.
Pressing once per line is a must, leaving the can pressed can make the paint to gather and create dropplets.

Step 3:
Now carefully remove strip by strip, after 2 or 3 min the paint is dry but being carefull has never been wrong.
As you can see it already look cool.
I had saved the top ones for reuse but.. having a child near is a danger.
And well to reuse, just move the strips to the side where the equares are.
Retape it all, every block must get covered, making the tape fill the squares bellow it

Step 4:
Finally Add paint again, and start removing the tape as a gift.
If you are using another color you may re-do this covering your squares and painting with the other color, just re-follow he steps
Finally, admire your work
