Pallet Destruction!!

For this instructable I'll be showing you how I use a small 2x4 to take apart pallets. This is a pretty simple concept of kinetic energy. When I strike the 2x4 with a hammer, the hammer sends kinetic energy into the 2x4 which, in turn, transfers the KE into the pallet board.

Step 1: Tools/Supplies

For this step you'll need to retrieve a hammer, safety glasses, 2 saw horses, a pair of gloves, a short 2x4, and the most important thing, a pallet!

Step 2: Step 1: Destruction Begins!

You now need to set the 2x4 perpendicular to the edge of your pallet board. This is the best spot for success. Then you will hammer the 2x4 until it knocks the pallet board loose. For boards that do not have a great opening for you to knock loose, lay the 2x4 flat (or parallel) to the board you wish to knock out.

Step 3: Fin!

Now you're finished! This is an easy way to take apart pallets without having to make a jig or cut the pallets apart. Have yall a goodie goodie!
