Introduction: Pallet to Surround Shower

My mother got 20 bags of mushroom compost and It came on a pallet. Almost immediately my brain was trying to figure out what to do with it, so I came up with this. The idea is that you connect the hose to a pump, turn on the pump, then crawl into it (with or without clothes).

Step 1: Cutting the Wood and Assembling

The lengths of wood you will need are:

  • 12 3 ft long pieces
  • 4 2ft 2inch pieces
  • 4 1ft 2inch pieces

Cut the wood. Then move on to assembling.

You may notice that on the base pieces I put some blocks on. Those are intended to(hopefully) increase the stability. I used a drill to drill holes so I could then screw screws in. Attach the base pieces at 90 degrees to each other. Then measure an Inch from one of the 2ft 2inch supports. That point will help you to make sure that 1 inch is below the top of the wood. Screw all the supports on. Mark an inch from the top and screw one of the three foot planks onto it. Screw another 3ft plank on the same way and at 90 degrees to the other plank. Keep putting more planks on until there is a square . Then put on the 1ft 2inch supports the same way as the 2ft 2in supports. Attach the remaining 3ft pieces of wood onto the supports the same way as onto the 2ft 2inch supports. The assembly Is done! Sand It down If you want.

Step 2: The Hosing

Get a length of hose and wrap the hose around the wood. you will need to cover the end with an end cap. Make small holes in the hose for the water to squirt out of. To operate plug the hose into a pump and turn the pump on. You are done! Now go and cool off!

This is probably the best shower I could build for this hot summer.

I designed this to be used outdoors with a swimsuit or clothes(!), but a privacy curtain is a great idea. Thanks for your input
