Introduction: Paneer Makhani

One of the rich and healthy delicacies, this North Indian mouth watering dish is popularly relished across all parts of the country. Here is my version of DIY Paneer Makhani, which is very easy to make and takes less than 30 minutes for preparation. I hope you make it and enjoy it with your friends and family. Tastes best with Hot Roti, Paratha or Naan. So all you paneer lovers carry your laptop to the kitchen and get your hands dirty. :-D

Step 1: Get Those Ingredients

Ingredients:

· Paneer(Cottage Cheese)- 250 gms

· Honey- 20 ml

· Red Chilli Powder- 2tsp

· Green Peas(boiled)- 100 gms

· Onions- 2 medium

· Green Chillies- 5

For Gravy:

· Fresh Tomato Puree- 500 ml

· Chopped ginger- 30 gms

· Chopped Garlic- 40 gms

· Ginger Paste- 20 gms

· Ginger Paste- 20 gms

· Cinnamon- 1 stick

· Cumin Seeds- 2 ½ tsp

· Bay leaves- 2-3 nos.

· Whole cardamom- 3 nos.

· Ghee- 50 gms

· Oil- 2 Tsp

Finishing:

· Fresh Cream- 150 gms

· Butter- 30 gms

· Kasoori Methi- 2 ½ tsp

· Garam Masala- 2 Tablespoon

· Salt- to taste

Step 2: For the Tomato Puree(my Variation):

· Make cross slits on the top of 3 tomatoes, boil them so as to peel their skin.

· Boil two medium onion and 5 green chillies for 2 minutues.

· Skin the tomatoes and put them along with the onion and chillies.

· Add a pinch of salt.

· Blend them, check for the seasoning.

Step 3: Real Dish Making Begins Now

Method:

· Cut Paneer into Medium Cubes as Shown.

· Take a deep Casserole/bowl add all gravy ingredients except tomato puree, ginger & garlic paste and microwave on High power for 2 minutes(The aroma after that will make you more starving :-D ).

· Add the tomato Puree, ginger & garlic paste, honey, salt and chilli powder and Microwave on High power for 3 minutes.

· Add the Paneer cubes, green peas and mix well and microwave on High power for 2 minutes.

· Add the finishing ingredients and mix well and Microwave it for another 4 minutes.

· That’s it, Serve Hot topped with fresh Cream.
