Intro: Paper Butterfly Wall Decor

Hey momoluvers, it's Momo and today I'll be making this awesome wall decor for any lover of attention to detail. I love this piece because it's so unique and looks professional. I hope you have fun making this and remember to vote because it means a lot!

STEP 1: Supplies

1. Scissors
2. Patterned paper
3. Glue
4. Sheet of printer paper
5. Butterfly stamper or template

STEP 2: Create the Creatures

Use the stamp to press out butterflies. I would suggest about 60 with a wide variation of color.

STEP 3: Line Them Up

I suggest lining up the butterflies in the color variation you'd like because you don't want to be flying them down and accidentally put 6 blue ones in a row!

STEP 4: Glue Then On

Form a box with the printer paper (or a pre-purchased canvas) and bend in the wings of the butterflies, gluing the body onto the box

Make sure you keep them in even rows, don't rush it!

STEP 5: Coming Along

Glue the butterflies in a vertical row along the side, and then a horizontal row across the top. This will give you a preset template so you can mark where to put your butterflies. This assures that your rows will be even and neat.

STEP 6: Finito!

And that's it! I hope you enjoy it and have fun! This is such a fun project that will make a beautiful decoration in any setting.

Great job. I like it. When you say "butterfly stamper or template" Are you saying that the butterfly is a punch or die cut design to cut out the butterflies? It's not a stamp, as in a rubber stamp, right? I want to try this!!

Correct, it is a metal stamp, like a hole puncher, that immediately cuts it out. I purchased mine at hobby lobby for pretty cheap a while back, but you can just use a template and hand trace them if you prefer.
So nice. I can do this... thx
