Introduction: Paper Chain or Slinky??? Wait What

have fun with this great paper slinky, make it as big as you want!!!!!

Step 1: Materials

The things you will need:

- graph paper (preferably)

- glue (white or normal)

- scissors

Step 2: Perparing

First, you will need to cut the paper. It doesn't matter how big the papers are as long as they are all the same size.

Step 3: Making

Take two paper stripes and add a dot of glue to one strip at the top. Place the other strip on top to make a right angle like the second picture.

Step 4: Folding

Start folding the strips over top of each other like in the video at the bottom. Please watch it for more information. Left strip over the bottom strip. The bottom strip over what is now the right strip. the right over the top, And so on.

Step 5: Gluing

to finish off one link. glue what will be the second square from the top like in picture one. Then put the top square over the bottom one and push together. If there is some overhang you can just cut it off to form the perfect link. Make however many of these you would like and then meet me at the next step.

Step 6: Connecting the Links

Now that we have one link, take the second one and put a dot of glue one the top of it like in picture three. Then line the two chains up and squish them together, To make a longer chain or slinky.

Step 7: This One Is Mine

See how long you can make your's mine is over 31 meters. My friend Savannah and I started this a few weeks ago in math class. It sure is amusing we are trying to break the record for longest paper slinky which is 1980 inches. We are so close I hope to see your creations soon. Bye, and have fun linking.
