Introduction: Paper Glider/Boomerang/Trick Plane

This is my most favorite paper plane because it is TOTALLY random. Its random cuz it'll fly differently each time you make another one. It doesn't really fly like most paper planes that fly straight, no this one is different. It can fly high up in the sky and then zip a couple of centimeters over the ground. It can fly in loops and circles and it might even fly right back to where your hand is. Sometimes it acts like there's a pilot inside cuz MOST of the times if you throw it at the ground it'll zip up in time to miss it and (even though i'm not saying you should do it) if you throw it hard directly at somebody's face MOST of the time it'll go a couple of inches close and shwosh it'll fly over or around it at the last minute (and if it does hit the person, it won't hurt). My uncle showed my how to make it many years ago and its the best.

It is recommended to look at all the steps to making this and then do it with the steps cuz it might be a little confusing.

Step 1: Step 1

Pic 1 - Get a blank piece of paper (of course...)
Pic 2 - Fold the top left corner (the picture is supposed to be turned so that my hand is facing up sry) of the paper down so that it makes a point at the top right corner and that it lines up with the other half.
Pic 3 - What it should look like

Step 2: Step 2

Pic 1 - Now get the top point of the paper and fold it down to the edge you made in step 1.
Pic 2 - Fold it down.
Pic 3 - What it should look like.

Step 3: Step 3

Pic 1 - Now open it again and grab the edge of the paper.
Pic 2 - Grrrabb ittt...
Pic 3 - Now pick it up and move it over to the other side of the paper.
Pic 4 - Now that it is on the other side it makes a line right in the middle. Fold that line.
Pic 5 - Now grab the part on the right side...
Pic 6 - ... and push it so that it is on the folded line AND THEN grab the line you see that is bent and pull it to the right side so that it lines up with the right edge...confusing...
Pic 7 - Hope this helps.
Pic 8 -What it should look like.

Step 4: Step 4

Pic 1 - Now grab the bottom left of the top part of the paper and fold it to the top and make it line up.
Pic 2 - Its evened up and now fold it.
Pic 3 - Do the same to the other side.
Pic 4 - Now fold it.
Pic 5 - What it should look like FROM ABOVE YEA!!!!

Step 5: Step 5

Pic 1 - Almost like the previous step, grab the bottom part and fold it so that it lines up with the middle.
Pic 2 - Follldddd....
Pic 3 - Do the same for the other side so that it looks like this.

Step 6: Step 6

Pic 1 - Now unfold one of the sides TWO TIMES NOT ALL THE WAY and there should be a triangle flap above it.
Pic 2 - Now get the flap and fold it over the other part.
Pic 3 - Fold it back to the middle so the flap gets tucked in.
Pic 4 - Then do the same to the other side.
Pic 5 - Now there is a triangle on top. Fold it downwards over the other two pieces.
Pic 6 - There are two slits on the sides of the triangle. Open it up while it is still folded down and slide the two long triangles in the slits so that it holds it and looks like this.

Step 7: Step 7

THIS STEP DETERMINES HOW YOUR PLANE FLIES!!!
Pic 1 - Flip it over.

NORMAL Plane - Random Flying
Pic 2 - Fold one of the edges about an inch long (measure w/ your thumb) or so and make sure that it is straight and lines up with the bottom edge of the plane.
Pic 3 - Fold the other edge the same so that it lines up with the bottom edge too.
Forget Pic 4.

BOOMERANG Plane - Flies in a circle back to you.
Pic 2 - Fold one of the edges about an inch long (measure w/ your thumb) or so and make sure that it is straight and lines up with the bottom edge of the plane.
Pic 4 - Fold the other side about an inch long BUT INSTEAD OF IT LINING UP WITH THE BOTTOM EDGE, FOLD IT SO THAT IT DOESN'T REALLY TOUCH THE EDGE SHOWN BY THE BLUE!

Step 8: FINALLY!!!

Pic 1 - To throw, hold the triangle on the bottom and throw it.
Pic 2 - YES!
