This project would be fun for kids that like space/aliens. Its also a project that you can decorate anyway you want and most of the materials you can find laying around the house

Step 1: Gather Materials

1 Paper Plate
6 Large Plain Paper Clips
1 Hot Glue Gun (And glue sticks)
1 Ruler
1 Pair of scissors
1 Piece of Plain Paper
1 Pencil
Paint/Markers (Something to decorate with)

Step 2: Prepare Paperclips

Unbend the paperclips so that they are straight and put the to the side for later (they don't have to be perfectly straight but try and make them as straight as you can)

Step 3: Prepare Paper Strips

Using your ruler cut strips of paper that are an inch thick. Tip: mark your strips with your pencil before cutting them so you can make them even.

Step 4: Make Your Base for Your UFO

Using your pencil and ruler make a circle that is 5 inches across the center on the plate. Make sure to make 6 dots evenly around the circle

Step 5: Build the UFO Walls

One at a time place a drop of glue on one of the dot and put the end of a paperclip so it stands straight up. this will be the walls

Step 6: Curve the Walls Into Each Other

After all of your paperclips are glued to the plate, bend all of the tops of the paperclips to the center of the circle (Not Touching the Plate). Try to get all of the ends of the paperclips

Step 7:

Using hot glue wrap your paper strips around the paperclips. Make sure to glue the strip to each paper clip it touches. The strips will look like a swirl
