Paper Quilling Mini Basket

Dear Friends,

This is DIY steps for making basket . this is very easy and beautiful paper basket making. It can be used as doll accessories or miniature craft .

So, let's get started.

Supplies

What we need??

· Quilling paper strips (3mm)

· Liquid glue (fevicol)

· Quilling Needle tool

· Decorative materials (optional)

· Shaping moulds

· Scissor

Step 1: Making Petal Shape

Kindly refer the above pictures for making petal shape.

We have to take 1 off-white strip and 1 blue strip to make one petal.

The blue strip is to be cut in 2 parts.

1 part should be stick with off-white and then make a roll. after that, fold it from middle and then stick it with the help of little glue.

Then use another part of blue strip and roll in on the petal to make it secure and stick it (use glue).

Step 2: Making Dome Shape

I used 3 blue strips for making a dome. To make a bigger size basket, use 5 / 7 even 9 strips,

For making dome shape, first make a tight coil, and secure it at the end point with glue.

make dome shape using fingers first, and then
use quilling mould for a proper dome shape

Refer the above pictures for information.

After making the dome, put some glue inside the dome, to secure it.

Step 3: Sticking Petals Around Dome

Now add glue for sticking petals around the dome, please
refer pic / video

I used 5 petals for my project, if you wanna make a bigger basket, you may need more number of petals .

You have to hold each petal for some time to stick it properly, so that it doesn’t fall down.

I leave it for 10 min and let it dry properly.

Step 4: Making Another Half of Basket

Till now we made the half part of basket

Kindly repeat step 4 for making another half

Step 5: Attaching Handle to Basket

Take a half quilling strip, fold it to make a it strong and stick it . Now
add some glitters or decorating stones on it to make it beautiful. I also use a paper butterfly to decorate it.

Now stick this handle with the upper part of the basket

Step 6: Joining Both Parts of Basket

now, stick both part of the basket with the help of glue, please refer video / pictures

You have to leave it at least for 10 min to dry properly .

Make sure that your both parts of the basket, are aligned .

If you are 2nd part is falling you can hold it for sometime so It get stick.

Step 7: Decorating Your Basket

I decorate the basket using
5 more petals and some decorative materials.I add some decorative stones on my basket petal to make it look more beautiful. Don't worry if glue is on your decorative material it will dry in sometime and will be transparent .

Step 8: Final Look

Our beautiful basket is ready.
