Introduction: Paper and Cardboard Volcano

About: I teach computer science at a K-8 school and am using this account to allow my students to publish instructables. Students are not allowed to create accounts at school.

Eruptions, lava! made of cardboard/paper? we made a cardboard volcano! we decided to make this volcano because we wanted to make a model for computer science funds.

Supplies

cardboard 12 by 5 1/2 inches, paper (red, orange, and yellow), aluminum foil, hot glue, markers (red, orange, yellow), and thin wooden rods 12 inches x3

Step 1: Get the Supplies

make sure you have the supplies.

Step 2: Cutting the Cardboard

Take one piece of cardboard, and cut it into a circle.

Step 3: Gluing on Rods

hot glue three rods on the cardboard like the picture shows.

Step 4: Tin Foil

Then hot glue tin foil around the wooden rods as shown.

Step 5: Black Paper

crumble up black paper, then uncrumple it, then hot glue it onto the foil

Step 6: Lava

make strips of red, orange, and yellow paper and glue it onto the volcano

Step 7: More Lava

scribble red, orange, and yellow marker on the paper strips

Step 8: Rocks

make a small ball of foil and them wrap some black paper around it. Then glue it onto the base of the volcano.

Step 9: Done!!

now you have a volcano!!!!!!!!!!!!
