Introduction: Paperclip Dinosaur
Have you ever wanted to make a miniature prehistoric beast capable of destroying all that annoying paper work? Well sadly, that day has not arrived yet. But, you can still celebrate the possible future by making this one out of paperclips and spare time.
Now, ON WITH THE SHOW!
Step 1: Materials
All you need are:
-2 large paper clips
( I used small ones )
-( Optional ) pliers
Step 2: Straighten the Paperclips
This is somewhat tricky. What I recommend doing is trying to do it by hand, then use a book
or any other flat, heavy, and hard object to straighten out what you couldn't by hand ( it doesn't have to be perfect! ). Or use pliers.
Step 3: Take Shape
Take one paperclip and bend the top to look like a tall L. Now take the other paper clip and make a U only with an acute bend.
Step 4: The S's Stand for 'So Simple'
Now, the most hard to explain part.
With the U-shaped paperclip, make the ends like an S-shape
( use picture for reference )
and make sure the ends point the same direction.
Step 5: Make the Connection
Take the L shaped paperclip and wrap part of the long side of it around the top of the U shaped paperclip BUT LEAVE SOME TAIL!!!
: After wrapping the long end of the L to the U, turn the head to correspond/match the forward direction
: also tighten the wrap arounds by holding the tail the moving the neck down.
Step 6: AND PRESTO EL MAGNIFICO
You're done
Step 7: Tips and How to Operate
Tip: make the legs even and you could make the feet go sort of outward.
Tip: if your Dino falls over a lot, move the upper portion to balance the Dino.
HOW TO OPERATE
Hold the Dino firmly and move the tail up and down
Step 8: In Conclusion
With this design you can make a prehistoric land in now time flat. Practice making it and it'll get really easy to make.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!
( comment where that's from if you know )
