Introduction: Papermaking: Wood to Paper at Home!

About: I did put a lot of work into this lecture series. I hope you enjoy it. Happy Mushrooming!

Welcome to this tutorial on how to make paper by hand using a 3D printed papermaking frame. I will be guiding you through the process of creating beautiful and unique paper using oak sawdust pellets and Reishi mushrooms.

Traditionally, paper is made at home using recycled old paper, and this process can still be used to make paper in a sustainable and eco-friendly way. However, in this tutorial, I will be showing you how to use oak sawdust pellets and Reishi mushrooms as a new alternative method.

Supplies

I did use a 3d Printer, but that is not necessary.

Step 1:

First, I will show you how to gather your materials and process the sawdust pellets into a pulp. This is done by mixing the sawdust with water and blending it until it reaches the desired consistency. Next, I will demonstrate how to pour the pulp into the 3D printed frame and press it to remove as much water as possible. The frame's wooden mesh will hold the fibers together while the water is drained away. Once the water has been removed, I will show you how to hang the frame to dry or press it further with a press machine.

Step 2:

Once the paper is dry, it's ready to be used. I will then show you how to laser engrave designs onto the paper, or use it to make beautiful flower pictures to hang on your wall. The paper is strong and durable, and it's made without the use of any chemicals.

Throughout the tutorial, I will provide detailed instructions and tips for those who want to try this project at home. I will also share my design for a 3D printable wooden frame that can be used to create paper of any shape you desire.

At the end of the tutorial, I will provide a comprehensive bill of materials so you can purchase everything you need to try this project yourself.

Don't miss out on this unique and sustainable way to make paper. Join me in this tutorial and discover the power of mushrooms in the paper-making process."
