Introduction: Papier Mache Perry the Platypus

About: Currently a sophomore at NCSU studying computer science. I enjoy making things, hacking things, building electronic circuits, and cooking!

During art class, we had to make something using papier mache. At the time, {this is kinda embarrasing} I was really into the show Phineas and Ferb. So I made a platypus named Perry who looked just like Perry the Platypus. The body of him is a cardboard cigarette box. I think I made the beak and tail from cardboard also, but it may have been newspaper. His hair and eyeballs are made from newspaper. My teacher made the glue mixture, so I dipped some strips of newspaper in it and stuck it to the platypus. During the drying process, I used wire to hold up the tail and beak so they would not fall off. When it dried, I looked up a pic of Perry to see what color blue he was. My teacher and I spent a long time trying to get the color right, but I think it was worth it.

Thanks for looking!
