Introduction: Paracord Cat O' Nine Tails
Last year I made this Cat O' Nine tails for a Language Arts project, and I think it's pretty awesome. I mean, how many people do you know who have one? Exactly. A friend of mine loved it, an he wanted me to make him one, so I am. After following this instructable you will have an authentic paracord (reproduction) Cat O' Nine Tails like they used in Medieval times.
Step 1: Gather Materials
For this project I used about 8-10 inches of 3/4 inch PVC piping. The length can be adjusted to your desire. I also used two 3/4 inch slip caps, an eye hook, and about 30-32 feet of paracord. You can adjust the length of each tail, mine were about 2.5 feet long each. I also used so e electrical tape and jute twine to wrap the handle and make it look nice. You will also need a drill bit, approximately 3/8 inch, maybe larger, scissors, and a lighter.
Step 2: Put in the Eyescrew
I just used a small eyescrew on the back end I case my friend wanted to hang it or do whatever. This is optional.
Step 3: Drill the Hole
Now take your drill and make a 3/8 inch hole (you can use a 1/2 inch to make it easier to feed the cord through) on the remaining endcap.
Step 4: Feed Through the Cord
Cut 9 lengths of paracord 2-2.5 feet long, depending on how long you want the whip. Now feed in your cord, going from the outside to in. Pull then through the hole, and knot both ends of each length of cord. Push the knots on the inside end of the cap into the end of pipe, and push the cap on. Now tug on the cords to make sure they're secure.
Step 5: Tape & Wrap
Wrap the entire handle, including endcaps, in electrical tape. Now wrap the middle 5 inches in jute twine, leaving 1 1/2 inches between the wrap and the endcaps.
Step 6: Turk's Heads
Now make two Turk's Head knots, one at each end, between the wrap and endcaps. If you do not know how to tie a Turk's head, there are some nice videos on YouTube.
Step 7: Finished!
You are now finished with your Cat O' Nine Tails! Show it off, brag to your friends, take it to a renaissance fair, or hang it in your room! WARNING: This may be considered a weapon where you live. DO NOT USE ON ANOTHER LIVING BEING. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY HARM TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE WHILE YOU ARE USING THIS WHIP!

Maybe against someone who isnt quivering in anticipation for their master to give them another lashing. I'm really truly sorry if you live such a vanilla sex life that toy handcuffs with the quick release are spicing it up.

Then lock me up. My slave loves hers and I love using it. The pink one I made about a year ago for her and the leather one (not finished in this pic) I did for a customer for a Cat Woman costume.
