Introduction: Paracord Flashlight Holster
Hi everybody, it has been a long time since I have posted and I thought I would share this with everyone here on instructables . This is my new Paracord flashlight holster that I created. It is a basic cobra weave with big holes in it and a woven side. This grips pretty good if you don't have a super glossy light.
This is nice because you can make it to fit your light and it's cheap.
Note that this is not super EZ and it would be good to know how to do basic weaves and other stuff like that.
Please tell me ways to improve this and other comments on the design. So now lets make it.
If you have any trouble just ask me in the comments thanks.

Step 1: The Tools and Materials
First you will need the tools and materials, so here is the list.
Paracord
Lighter
Scissors
Time
two colors of Paracord are nice so you don't get stuff mixed up
on to the next step
Step 2: Cut the Cord!
First lets cut the green cord, get your flash light and put it on your work table. Then double over a piece of cord and measure it by putting it on the end of the rim of the flash light, then take the other part and put it on the other side of of your flash light at the same level as the other cord, then measure about 8" on both sides of the cord that is doubled over and then cut it there.
Now get the yellow cord and cut it so that you can work with it. I did not measure the amount I used but you can just cut of the excess. Note the amount of cord depends on how big your flashlight is, just cut it so that you can work with it. If you need help just ask in the comments and I will be glad to help out.
Sorry for no pix of the cord cutting I did not think of it then, but this is not too hard, you're just cutting cord!
Step 3: Make the Base Back Weave
First you will need to take your cord and divide it in half and place the center point of the yellow cord at the top of the green cord then make a cobra weave down but make there be big holes in it like in the pix. Make the weave so that when you bend it over it is at the rim of the light.
Sorry for the lack of pix, if you need help just ask in the comments
Step 4: The Side Weave
Okay now lets get on to the side weave.
First take the two yellow cords and feed them through the top holes on the opposite side of the light like shown in the pix. Now just weave back and forth through the maze of cord like I show in the picture. Stop when the main weave starts to bend. Note that you do not want to weave this tight or too lose or it will not work right.
Step 5: The Next Weave Up the Side
So if you're this far it's time to weave up the side of the flashlight. Weave in and out like shown in the picture until you get to the top, then bend it over and weave it back down to the bottom of the flashlight.
Do this on both sides.
Note that in the 3rd picture, I show it on the other side, you don't need to move it over to the other side.
If you have a problem just tell me in the comments and I will try to help you
Step 6: Finishing Up
Now it's time to finish up.
Now take the cord coming out the bottom and feed through one of the holes and melt the end.
Sorry again for the lack of pictures, I might make video instructions some time or just remake this when I get time.
Step 7: Other Ideas
Here is is Swiss army knife case I made with this same type of design. Tell me what you come up with.
