Prismsglasses

Step 1: What Do You Need?

Standard parts:

• Glasses
• 2 prisms
• 4 Magnets
• Heat shrink tubing
• Leather

Costum parts:

• 3D-print body

Tools:

• Lighter/matches
• Scissors
• Lasercuttingmachine
• Sewing kit
• Caliper
• Glue

Step 2: Fill in the NX File

First you have to fill in the NX file.

Choose the type of glasses you have. These dimensions are already filled in.

Then give in the asked dimensions of the glasses.

You can fill in the 'afwijking' with help of this tool. But if you want to be sure, you can visit an oculist.

If you have all the dimensions, you can print the part.

Step 3: Making the Bags

Download the lasercutfile to lasercut the bags out of the leather.

Sew the bags together with the magnets inside.

Step 4: Attaching the Magnets

Attach the magnets onto the glasses.

Pay attention:

Use the right pole of the magnet.

Step 5: Attaching the Bags

Sew the bags onto the 3D-printed part.

Step 6: Placing the Prisms

Glue the prisms into the 3D-printed part.

Now, your glasses are finished.
