Intro: Peanut Butter & Banana Dog Treats

Recently I took my dog, Lilly to the vet and they said that her potassium is low and that she needed something like bananas to get her potassium up for her next visit. To help her I decided to make some banana treats that will help her.

STEP 1: ​Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 banana

STEP 2: Directions

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Take you banana and smoosh it up. This does not need to be finely smooshed. There can still be bigger bits in it

  • In a large bowl, stir together egg, banana , honey, olive oil, peanut butter

STEP 3: Directions

  • Stir in 1 cup whole wheat floursifted and oatmeal; mix well.
  • Kneed well into a dough ball

STEP 4: Directions

  • Transfer dough to a parchment-lined board.
  • Place another sheet of parchment on top
  • Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness with rolling pin.
  • Cut out desired shapes with cookie cutter

  • You will have left over dough. combine the dough back together and roll again to cut out more treats

  • place on the prepared baking sheet. And bake for 20 - 25 minutes.

and if fido isnt keen, i reckon you would do well to eat them yourself! yum!

They bake for 20 - 25 minutes. I completely spaced on putting that in there. Thank you so much I corrected that as well.
