Introduction: "Pencil Through Ear" Earring
In this Instructable I'm going to show you how to make an earring that looks like you've got a colored pencil stuck in your lobe.
Step 1: The Things You Will Need:
- A (colored) pencil
- A saw
- Glue
- Stud earring base and butterfly back
- A drilling machine
Step 2: Cut It
Take the pencil and cut it in two pieces using your saw. Don't make them to long or they might get to heavy and the earring will look like a bend pencil. Sand the edges if necessary.
Step 3: The Back
Take the piece of pencil that you want to be the back and select a drill that's just the size of the butterfly back. Now drill a hole into that side of the pencil piece, that is going to face your ear and glue in the butterfly back.
Step 4: The Front
On the front piece just glue on the stud earring base.
Step 5: Finished!

At first I thought it was done with those tiny magnets, which I've used to make all kinds of weird earrings, but I like your idea as well or better. I can think of all kinds of applications... Thanks for the intriguing Instructable and great photos!
