Introduction: Pencil Drawer. a Place for the One Thing I'm Always Losing...
I made a drawer for the one thing I'm always losing in the shop.
It's just a 1" dowel, with a channel and a turned pull. I drilled out a 35mm hole and now I'll always know where to find my pencil.

You could always add a replenishing box of pencils above, so that if the drawer is closed without a pencil in, it drops down a new one ready for next time, a never ending/bottomless pencil drawer

Awesome idea. Could take a piece of the cut dowel, and insert in the top of the hole in the work bench to keep the cylindrical drawer from rotating and dumping your pencils out in the work bench.

Very nice!
Do you made the wooden tools you use to help to push the dowel?

Push sticks are invaluable!
