Pencils, Pens Holder

We are going to build Pens holder in a series of Back to school projects, because it is school time in Egypt.
this Pens\pencils Holder is 18 cm long , 8 cm wide , 5 cm thick .
I hope you'd like it.

Step 1: Cut the Wood

Cut the wood to dimensions :
- 180 mm Long

- 80 mm wide

- 50 mm Thick

Step 2: Cut a 45 Degrees Chamfer

Now at 145 mm cut 45 degrees chamfer which is a nice and easy way to make it look better

Step 3: Lay Out Holes and Drill It

Mark holes for pens, pencils, Markers and Rulers
I used 10 mm bit for pens and pencils
16 mm forstner bit for markers
6 mm Bit for mortising for rulers
mark where you want to put your holes as you like

Step 4: Finish It

i was using mahogany so all I did was some coats of Boiled Linseed oil sanding it between each coat with 320 Grit sandpaper

That looks really good. And it is a much better organizational method than keeping them in a drawer that I usually do. I am going to have to make one of these.
