Introduction: Phone Stand (with Charger Hole and Expanded Edges for Vertical and Horizontal Viewing)

This phone holder design is slim and sturdy, it is able to hold any phone in a vertical or horizontal position while charging it!

Supplies

For this project, you will simply need a computer, a 3d printer, and a filament of your choice (I suggest pla)!

Step 1:

For the first step, create two rectangles in your workspace. You should then stretch one to be a little larger than your phone in width, but smaller in height. This one should be at an angle as your phone will rest against it. The second rectangle should be a little larger than the base of your phone. This is important as most phones have wallets or bulky cases attached to the back of them, and this will allow a larger phone to sit on it.

Step 2:

Next, using another rectangle, add a notch to hold the phone in place. You will then use a square to add a small hole in the center. This step is optional but recommended as it is what allows a charger to be used while also using the phone stand.

Step 3:

Finally, using two bulky rectangles, create a base that will hold your phone stand. this is also where you should use a cylinder to create a hole where the phone charger can go through the back.
