Photon Mono 'Top Cover Support' (V2)
Intro: Photon Mono 'Top Cover Support' (V2)
Hello,
this is a simple accessory to support the top cover of the Anycubic Photon Mono. It can be easily adapted to other printers or similar devices.
Printing the 3 parts takes about 2 hours, using PLA is ok. If the screw holes are well printed, tapping the M3 threads is not required as the screws should be able to auto-tap.
Printing it with PLA is easy and there are no special considerations.
Version 2 greatly reduces the space required at the rear. Version 1 required about 15 cm of clearance and version 2 requires only about 6 cm.
Happy making :-)
STEP 1: Tapping the Threads
Threads of A holes is not needed or must be only 2 to 3 mm deep, the
remaining length being used to lock the screw. This will allow free movement of the arms with the screws tightened.
STEP 2: Place the Litle Screws.
Place the screws in the hole B.
You can use headless or regular screws, as shown in the picture.
STEP 3: Asssemble the Pieces.
Tighten the screw just enough so that the arms can swing freely. The screw should auto-lock provided the thread is not too deep.
STEP 4: Remove the Cover
Remove the cover by unscrewing the 2 screws
STEP 5: Insert the Main Pieces (A)
Insert the main pieces (A)
STEP 6: Set the Height to 5cm
Set the height to 5 cm from the top of the cover.
STEP 7: Tight the Height Blocking Crews
Lightly tighten the height blocking screws, just enough to prevent main part A from moving.
STEP 8:
