Introduction: Photoshop Totorial

This is a photoshop project for my DDA class.

Step 1: Selecting the Background

Using the quick selection tool draw in the background to select everything that's a similar color.

Step 2: Deselecting the Some of the Background

Using the quick selection tool hold alt take out some of the areas you don't want selected.

Step 3: Smoothing the Selection of the Background

Next you want to smooth your edge a bit so you're going to click select and mask button and then your going to turn on smart radius and increase the radius to about 5 pixels or so and then turn your smooth slider up to about 3 and hit ok.

Step 4: Coloring the Background

Now that your selection is made your going to come down to your layers palette and click the new solid color layer and we are going to choose a nice green color because it's going to be green for the grass.

Step 5: Setting the Blend Mode of the Background

Now your going to set the blend mode to overlay.

Step 6: Selecting a Petal

Using the quick selection tool draw in a petal to select everything that's a similar color.

Step 7: Deselecting Some of the Petal

Using the quick selection tool hold alt take out some of the areas you don't want selected.

Step 8: Smoothing the Selection of the Petal

Next you want to smooth your edge a bit so you're going to click select and mask button and then your going to turn on smart radius and increase the radius to about 5 pixels or so and then turn your smooth slider up to about 3 and hit ok.

Step 9: Coloring the Petal

Now that your selection is made your going to come down to your layers palette and click the new solid color layer and we are going to choose a nice and colorful color because it's going to for the petals of the flower.

Step 10: Setting the Blend Mode of the Petal

Now your going to set the blend mode to overlay.

Step 11: Repeat Steps 6-10

Repeat steps 6-10 with different colors.

Step 12: Selecting the Center of the Flower

Using the quick selection tool draw in the center to select everything that's a similar color.

Step 13: Smoothing the Center of the Flower

Next you want to smooth your edge a bit so you're going to click select and mask button and then your going to turn on smart radius and increase the radius to about 5 pixels or so and then turn your smooth slider up to about 3 and hit ok.

Step 14: Coloring the Center of the Flower

Now that your selection is made your going to come down to your layers palette and click the new solid color layer and we are going to choose a nice red color.

Step 15: Setting the Blend Mode of the Center of the Flower

Now your going to set the blend mode to overlay.

Step 16: Your Finished!!

Your final product should look something like this!
