Introduction: Phyllo Cigarillo
So what do you do when instructables said they are missing you? You go online and post something fun ^_^
These cigarillos are super easy to make and you can add any kinds of chocolates and topping you like!
Step 1: Materials
1 package phyllo dough, thaw in the fridge overnight
fat of your choice (butter, margarine, coconut oil, vegan butter/margarine)
coconut palm sugar (or regular white sugar, or brown sugar)
spices of your choice (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, or omit if you don't like any)
topping of your choice (I use PB2 - peanut butter powder, sprinkles, nerds, chocolate chips - mine was accidentally dairy free, chocolate bar - mine was dark chocolate as my husband prefers dark chocolate, desiccated coconut - unsweetened or sweetened, chocolate melts, and chia seeds)
vegetable shortening, optional
Step 2: Baking the Cigarillo
Lay a phyllo sheet on your working table (I had The Mat placed on my table), brush with melted vegan margarine (melt at 20 seconds on microwave). Sprinkle coconut palm sugar generously (and cinnamon powder etc if using), then lay another sheet on top of it. Roll and cut into two cigarillo.
You can make your cigarillo fat or thin, to your preference.
Place cigarillo on aluminum foiled cookie sheet, brush them with melted vegan margarine and sprinkle with coconut palm sugar.
Bake cigarillo for 5 mins on preheated 425 F oven.
Cool to room temperature before decorating!
Once your cigarillo cooled down, melt chocolate chips/chocolate bar/chocolate wafers on 30 seconds interval in microwave (if it's needed, to thin the chocolate wafers, use shortening!)
Dip cigarillo on melted chocolate and sprinkle with PB2, nerds, coconut, etc Chill for 5 mins in freezer and serve! Enjoy :)
