Introduction: Pin Hole Camera

About: Hobbyist

We all learned in class 6 that, a pinhole camera is a simple camera, without lens, in the shape of a box. One of the sides has a small hole and it produces an inverted image of the surroundings at other side. The image of the outer object is created inverted on the inner box translucent screen. In this instructable you will learn to create your own pinhole camera!

Supplies

2 Soap Boxes (of different sizes)

Butter Paper

Tape

Scissors

Step 1: Preparing the Boxes

First, take the 2 boxes and paint them if you want. Cut both the openings of the smaller box and only one of the opening of the larger box.

Step 2: Moving Further

Now make a hole with the help of a tool like a rounder exactly in the center of the closed side of the larger box.

Now take a piece of Butter paper and wrap it round one of the opening of the smaller box and tape it as shown in the third image above.

Step 3: Final Step

It is almost ready, insert the smaller box (the paper side) into the larger one.

Step 4: Its Ready!

The picture above is an example of the image you will get of a candle flame. It is inverted as the image formed in a pinhole camera is always inverted.
