Pipe Cleaner Christmas Tree

Intro: Pipe Cleaner Christmas Tree

Once I was done decorating my house for the holidays, I started on my dolls house by making this pipe cleaner Christmas tree.

STEP 1: Make the Base of the Tree

Start off with one green pipe cleaner and bend three little legs on the end so it stands up.

STEP 2: Cut the Branches

Cut up pipe cleaners into varying lengths and twist them onto the main pipe cleaner, with the longest bits at the bottom.

STEP 3: Add the Branches

Add additional branches to the lower parts to bulk them out.

STEP 4: Decoration

Add a tinsel pipe cleaner and some beads for the baubles.

STEP 5: Finish the Scene

Finish the scene by making tiny wrapped presents to go under the tree.
You could also make little stockings to hang on the fireplace.

I could make this for my LPS, mlp and all my other toys!
Thank goodness I'm not the only one who has play mobile, one of the best toys ever.
That's just adorable! I could see a row of them on the mantelpiece, decorated with strands of beads. Thanks for the idea! ( Just have to worry about keeping the cats from nobbling them to play with--"wow! Look at these neat toys Mom made for us!)"
That is so cute! I just love little versions of things! Awesome job!
"That's what she said..." ;-)
Otherwise, I'll totally make some to table ormanents/presents. I'm thinking of adding some sort of illumination to it, but some normal 3-5 mm LEDs would be way to big, so I think I'll just add one "candle flicker" LED (from Evil Mad Science) and a battery to the base to add some background light. (Think of a throwie, but with a flicker LED.)
