Introduction: Pirate Ring-Toss Game

About: I am a teacher who enjoys environmentally responsible woodworking. Most evenings will find me in the shop working with my now 8 year old son Shay who is both my greatest helper and biggest fan.
We were having a surprise party for my 4 year old and he is very into Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  In addition to a pirate obstacle course I wanted to build some sort of game.  A Captain Hook ring-toss board seemed like a winner.  The board is made from stuff I had laying around and was built quickly at night.  Still it looks good and works great.  I did misjudge my age group however and the kids did little more than toss rings in the general direction before turning to other sugar fueled things.  I would put the age group at 6-7 years if you want any sort of success.
