How to make pixel art in Adobe Photoshop.

Step 1: File>New

Set your new canvas to the following settings.

Width: 50 pixels

Height: 50 pixels

Resolution: 72
Color Mode: >>> 8 bit

Step 2: Pencil Tool + Outlines

Using the Pencil Tool at 1px, start to draw!

Like any drawing, we want to get an outline of our product.
Be sure you are NOT using the paint brush, the paint brush will fill unwanted pixel cells with shades of the color you are using.

Step 3: Color, Shading

Add color!

Much like a painting, you should have an idea where a light source is coming from.

Step 4: Exporting the Finished Pixel Art

Once you are satisfied with your pixel art, go File>Save for Web.

This will open up a another window. Choose the top right panel that says "GIF", then click save.

Your finished pixel art will be very small, if you want to make it larger change the image size in the save for web panel.
