Intro: Pocket Fishing Kit

This is my first instructable and I hope it is a worthy addition. As the name suggests it is a mini pocket fishing kit.It is made from a small mint tin and has the basic's needed to catch fish.I proply should say something about any injurys sustained by making this or using this is not my responsiblity and does not mean that you should put yourself in a position where you need to use it.

STEP 1: Materials

The Materials;
A small mint tin
Hooks
Weights
Small Float/indicator
Small blade
Sewing machine spool
Fishing line
Small fish pellets(not in picture)
Foil
Tape
Paper
Matches/striker
Poly sleves
scissors

STEP 2: Step 1

First get a small tin I used a mint tin.Its size was 45mm by 55mm and around 13mm deep.A smaller one would make fitting ever thing more difficult.

STEP 3: Step 2

Get some hooks in different size I used 3 but i could fit more.I made some little bags for them with poly sleves and tape. They could be left loose but they get caught on everthing.

STEP 4: Step 3

Get some wieghts in different sizes.I used 4 a pair of No1 and No4 and make bags for them like the hooks.More weighs of a smaller size can be used or less of a larger.

STEP 5: Step 4

Get a small float/indicator that will fit in the tin or make one from a piece of cork and a match stick you can leave it natural or paint it like I've done to make it more visable.

STEP 6: Step5

Get a sewing machine spool and some fishing line a light one is better because you can fit more of it in.I used a 5kg breaking strain.Wrap as much around the spool as you can.

STEP 7: Step 6

Get some matches(water proof best)so you can cook your catch about 10 will do tape them together.Don't forget a striker if they are safety matches.Wrap your small blade in paper as in picture. Mine is a scalpel blade the paper will stop it cutting you when are removeing things from the tin.It can be used to cut the line, it will also gut and descale the fish.Finaly wrap some foil around a few pieces of fish pellets they can be bought in large bags from angleing shops. They keep for a long time and are perfect for catching fish.Although you can forage for worms and berrys to bait your hook. They are useful if these are hard to find.

STEP 8: Pack It

Pack as shown in pictures

i just made one it is store quality

can this be for camping

I made one just like yours month before you posted this. Hivemind.
LOLOL a scalpel? Whoa... I'd use a small pocket knife. Also, try to push in a lighter instead of the matches. Otherwise it's a great idea. Gonna try to make one.

mini bics work the best as long as the flint isn't wet you could drop it on the ground and have it laying ther for a couple of years and still work just as good as the last time you used it

I like the idea of the tape bag.
dude really? why'd you copy my pocket tackle-box? not cool man not cool.
-you could use a floss thing
- And  you really should bring a lighter, not matches, a mini bic works well
this is just advice, not insults, so please don't bite my head of for trying to help
Nice!I've never thought of this but will be making my own soon. Thanks!!!
