Introduction: Pocket Survival Fishing Kit

Here is how to make a quick, simple, effective, and cheap survival fishing kit. The added bonus is that it easily fits in a pocket for a hike or trip and floats so there is no chance of losing it in the water.(Unlike those altoid tins)

Step 1: Necessary Items

These are the items I have included and they all fit perfectly into the container with some room left for added supplies if wanted. Feel free to personalize and change it up as you feel
The items include
• One pre-rigged catfish line – found at Walmart or Academy for around 1$
• Two plastic crappie baits
• One small silver bass hook
• One catfish treble hook
• One perch hook
• One 1/16th oz crappie jig hook
• Two 1/16th oz swivel weights
• One crappie bait (pink)
• One rooster tail
• One SeaSense floating container (2 inchs tall 1 inch in diameter)
• 25 yards of 8lb test monofilament

Step 2: Cap Items

The nice thing about these SeaSense containers is that the cap is hollow which allows for the added room for more items.
• 1/16th oz crappie jig hook
• Two extra crappie plastic baits
• One catfish treble hook
• One perch hook
• One bass hook

Step 3: Main Body Items

The main body holds the majority of the items and they need to be placed in order to be able to fit everything in.
• One pre-rigged catfish line – found at Walmart or Academy for around 1$
• 25 yards of 8lb test monofilament
• Two 1/16th oz swivel weights
• One crappie bait (pink)
• One rooster tail

Step 4: Everything Assembled

Here is everything laid out. Keep this handy tool with you on hikes or just in your vehicle and you can make sure you have a meal in the wilderness.
