Supplies

Supplies needed to accomplish poly gel nails are:

1) Poly gel

2) LED light

3) Nail form

4) Primer

5) Base and Top coat

6) Alcohol swab

7) Nail file

8) Nail clippers

Step 1: Prep Nails

When prepping the nails, you'll want to file and buff the nail, then you will use an alcohol swap to get off the oil. Then use a dehydrator, after the dehydrator you do not touch the nail. Next, use a base coat of your choice and follow the instructions on the back of the bottle. Prepping the nails is necessary to ensure the poly gel lasts long and does not pop off.

Step 2: Finding the Right Form

Second, you'll need to find the nail form that fits to your nail side wall to side wall. Open the poly gel bottle you want to use and put a small dot on the end of the nail form. Spread the gel to fit the entire nail form. Add the form to your nail, hold down, and cure in an LED light for 45 seconds.

Step 3: Cure and Pop Off the Nail Tip

After curing, wiggle the sides of the plastic nail form until it pops off.

Step 4: Inspect the Nail

After popping off the clear nail form, inspect the nail to make sure there is no hardened gel on the sides of the nail or cuticle. If there is, use nail clippers and clip it off.

Step 5: Trim, Shape, and File to Desired Length and Shape.

Next, file the edges to ensure the nail is soft and smooth. Trim and file to desired length and shape.

Step 6: Add Top Coat for Nail Protection

Add a top coat of your choice and follow the instructions on the back of the bottle to guarantee the nail is cured properly.
