Do you need a bedside table but don't have the space for it? Say hi to the por-table! Made for those without enough space for a full-fledged bedside table, the por-table was designed for all the people who don’t have a place to place their phones or eyeglasses on at night, and for those who might just need a little bit more storage.

Supplies

12” x 18” acrylic (0.3mm thickness)
Laser Cutter (I used the Universal Laser Systems 3.6)
2 pcs sewing table flap hinge
8 pcs countersunk screw/bolt
8 pcs flat washer
8 pcs hex nut
Acrylic adhesive
Masking tape
Drill
Syringe (for the adhesive)

Step 1: Designing Acrylic Pieces

Laser cut the following pieces (you can use the file attached below to make it easier :D).

Once everything is assembled you will end up with 2 separate parts: the hook (B, C1, C2), and the table (A, D, E1, E2). You'll see this later.

Step 2: Preparation for Drilling

Place masking tape on the sides (highlighted in red) where piece A and B will connect via the flap hinges. This is a crucial step as this prevents the acrylic from cracking once you drill holes into them.

Step 3: Drilling Holes for Hinges

Check where you want to place your flap hinges. They should connect pieces A and B, then mark the holes of the hinges using a marker. Afterwards, drill holes into the marks you set.

Step 4: Glue the Hook Part

Using a syringe with acrylic adhesive, glue piece C1 perpendicular to piece B, and do the same for piece C2 on the other side of piece B.

Step 5: Glue the Table Part

Connect piece E1 perpendicular to piece D, and do the same for piece E2 on the other side of piece D. Then, using the acrylic adhesive, glue the 3 pieces on the top face of piece A (opposite side of the holes you drilled earlier).
