Introduction: Portable Phone Stand
This is a phone stand that you can use on the go by attaching it to your keychain, and easily fits in any pocket or wallet. It has a basketball logo as well.
Step 1: Get the Materials
- Wood (1.15 inches in thickness)
- A Laser Cutter
- A Computer
- A Keychain
Step 2: Blueprints
Use the DXF or autoCAD files, and the CorelDraw file that I uploaded to design the phone stand. Mine was created for an iPod Touch, so if you have an iPhone or any other device, just change the width of the gap that holds the device up. The Corel file has some lines that are orange, not black, (the basketball outline) and this is so because the basketball outlines should not be cut all the way through, but only outlined to be seen. You will need to set the printer color settings so that orange's speed to 30 (black's is 100).
Step 3: Lasering
Put the wood into the laser cutter, connect the CorelDraw file to it, and let the laser go. The result should look like this.
Step 4: Keychain
You will notice that there is a small whole and the outer edge of the phone stand. This is there so that you can attach the stand to a keychain to carry around with you. The stand should now be ready to use. Have fun
