Introduction: Portable Phone/Media Speaker

Ever wanted a speaker that's louder than normal a passive speaker but doesn't have it's own independent power source? Then this is what you have been looking for.

Step 1: What's Needed

So for this simple Instructable you only really need three things

- A portable USB speaker (I got a Cyber one for $10 and taped the speakers together.

- A phone or device capable of 3.5mm Audio output (standard headphone) and either the ability to USB host/power with an OTG cable or a separate power source such as a charger (less portable as it needs a wall outlet) or an emergency charger (battery operated) Phone OTG capable is the most hastle free.

-An OTG cable.

-(Optional) Double sided tape/folded tape/velcro to stick the phone to the speaker, not really needed if it's going to be stationary.

Step 2: What to Do

Now this is pretty straightforward.

-All you need to do is plug the OTG cable into your phone

-The USB end of the speakers into the OTG cable

-Then the 3.5 Jack into the phone

And ta-dah! you have a loud yet 'passive' (not really because it's powered by the phone) all in one USB portable speaker :)
