Hello everyone.....,

In this Instructables I will show the process of making a powerful hand drill with a 555 D C motor.

Wireless hand drills/rechargeable hand drill are very use full in workshops and diy projects.

Standard hand drills are comes with their own features like speed, torque, working time...but some times Creators need some other feature like I need a High Speed with medium torque drill....so I build my own from 555 dc motor and some plastic tubes.

Supplies

To make this I used 555 dc motor,PVC pipe/plastic tube, switch, charging socket ,battery pack and a drill chuck .

Tools - glue,sand paper,cutter,wire stripper,soldering iron,flux,soldering wire.

So take all the parts and start making your own hand drill.

Step 1: Making the Body

To make a strong body I used 3.8 cm plastic tube ID and OD mentioned in the image.

Two piece is required one for the handle and other one is for the motor holder.

On the top of the handle pipe I sabded with a sand paper to make a "U" shape to joint the motor holder with it.

Step 2: Attaching Motor

A flat plastic piece with three holes two for motor screws and one for motor shaft is drilled as in Image 1.

Motor is screwed with two screws Imagfe 2.

Now insert the motor insid the pipe Image 3,4....(Befor do that make some holes to pass air if your motor has breathing holesImage 5).

Make a small hole to pass motor wire to handle image 6,7.

Cut i circular piece of plastic sheet and cover the motor pipe back side image 8,9.

Step 3: Connection

Motor has two wires following two ceramic capacitors.

Connect motor positive+ to one side of switch and Motor negative- to power socket negative-.

Then connect Other side of switch to power socket positive+ and make sure there's no short circuit and close the handle bottom with Plastic sheet.

Step 4: Testing Time

Now attach your battery pack and your hand drill is ready for work.

I used 12 volt 18650 battery pack which has 6x 18650 batterys 3 pair of two series batteris and its giving too much speed and good amount of torque as I needed.
