Introduction: Pumpkin Paper Craft

This craft is fun for all ages and a great activity to do for the Fall and Halloween! It is easy and quick to do as well!

Supplies

Materials Needed: 1 orange piece of paper (any size is fine), 1 green piece of paper (any size is fine), 1 pair of scissors, 1 glue stick, and any item that can make a circle outline or a pen to draw a circle.

The orange piece of paper will serve as the body of the pumpkin and the green is needed to make the stem.

Step 1: Fold the Paper Hot Dog Style

Take the orange paper and fold it hotdog style, making sure that each ends of the paper is parallel with the other.

Step 2:

Take either side of the paper and fold one end over the other, making sure each end is parallel with each other. You can repeat this step once more to get more paper circles in the end, but it is completely optional!

Step 3:

Take a pen or an item that helps outline a circle and draw it onto the piece of paper in the middle. Then, take some scissors and cut the circle out so you get 4 circles. Depending on the size of the paper and folds, you may end up with more circles, which is okay!

Step 4:

After cutting, take each circle and fold one side over the other so that it is shaped like a half moon.

Step 5:

Glue one side of the half moon to one side of another half moon. Repeat this step for gluing the others onto each other. If you would like to add more paper, you can repeat step 3 and glue those half moons to either side of the pumpkin to get a more fuller look.

Step 6:

Take the green paper and cut the left & right end so you will have 2 small strips of paper. I recommend cutting a chunk so that it is easier to fold. The second strip is not shown in the picture but it is better to have 2. This will serve as the stem of the pumpkin. Take each strip and fold it hot dog style. Cut them diagonally in the middle and open it up. Put glue on the bottom and glue it onto whichever top part of the pumpkin. You then have your pumpkin!
