Full head wearable latex Halloween mask.

Step 1: General Shape

First rough in the basic general shape of your character. (sculpted using water based clay)

Step 2: Blocking in Detail

Then begin to block in some of the more prominent features.

Step 3: Refined Details

Then once youve achived the shaped you want, begin to add all of the tiny details and textures.

Step 4: Molding

Make a 2 part plaster mold.

Step 5: Casting

First brush in a beauty coat of latex to make sure you wont capture any air bubbles. Then put your mold together and pour mask latex in. Rotate the mold around until latex has hit every surface of the inside of your mold, then pour the excess out. Wait 24 hours for latex to dry then pull your mask from the mold.

Step 6: Paint and Finish

Use mask latex and acrylic paints mixed 30 parts latex to 70 parts paint (roughly) and paint your mask however youd like!
