Me and my son on Halloween. We made these from foam insulation board. Took about 100 hours of work but worth it

Step 1:

This video isn't mine. It is the video series I watched to make the big one. Then I went rogue on my sons and made it my own. My is inspired by the movie. My sons is inspired by the game, the movie, predator, and steampunk. The horns at the top is just because hes mischievous

Step 2: Do Lots of Research!

I must have shopped for months looking for the right one to do. There were sooo many ones i didn't like. So I made sure I choose the things I liked the best from each one.

Step 3: Don't Be Afraid to Go Rouge

I don't have alot of pictures from when I made it. I found this site after I made it. The video in step 1 is what I followed. I think there are 7 videos total in his series. He used 1/4" blue foam from fan board. Its $50 and alot for 1 item you use on this costume. I got the 3/4" blue foam sheet for mine, which threw off alot of measurements and had to create a 5 side. It actually turned out well. So because there was a small mistake in measurements it ended up better than video. I used spackle for the cracks and alot of hot glue.

DO NOT TRY TO SPRAY PAINT IT. IT WILL EAT THROUGH THE FOAM BOARD.

Step 4: Get Some Junk!

Most scrap yards, or recycling places will let you shop. They will usually just charge you weight.

Get gears or anything really you see that you would like on your helmet. Make it your own.

I fill a box for about $3

Step 5: Seal It

Get some mod podge or whatever sealant you want to use(fiber glass resin) Cause I am sure you just didn't build this for a one time use. This will make it hard and more resistant.

Step 6: Mount It and Make You Friends and Family Jealous

Thats right, take lots of pics and post them to facebook. Scare you kids at the bus stop as pyramid head is waiting. Do random things with it like where a suit and make a you tube channel about pyramid head in a office emviroment. etc... Most importantly mount it

I used an old dish from previous owner that was attached to porch. I took the dish off and mounted it to my weapons wall.
